There are many well-known poets but our favorite poet is Allama Mohamad Iqbal. He was born in Sialkot and educated at Murray College. He got his higher education from Government College, Lahore. Then he went to Cambridge and then to Germany for his low and Ph.D. education. On his return, he began his practice at Lahore. He was a Philosopher, thinker and great well-wisher of the Muslim community. He worked a lot for the Muslim. He awakens them from thir deep slumber. He started writing poems first in Urdu and then in Persian. His poetry worked wonders. His books Bang-e-Dara and Bal-I-Jabril are the products of his great genius. All the poems are sublime. His poetry is the burdened with the message of Islam. He was the first to give the idea of Pakistan. He lives in the mind of all Muslims. We are greatly impressed by the depth of his message.
